Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Hellenic Republic

Born in 1955 in Moscow.

In 1977 graduated from the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO University).

Served at the Embassy of the USSR in the Republic of Cyprus (1977-1981), the Embassy of the USSR in France (1984-1988) and the Embassy of Russia in Italy (1992-1997).

1997-2004: Deputy Director of the Security and Disarmament Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

2004-2010: Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Russia in Italy.

2010-2014: Director of the Fourth European Directorate (countries of South Eastern Europe), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

July 2014-onwards: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Hellenic Republic.

Speaks Greek, English, Italian and French.
