Jeff Horst has been serving in the role of Commercial Director for Foss Maritime in their Seattle, Washington Headquarters since 2008. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Jeff’s father owned a trucking company for over 40 years serving the auto industry which lead to his love of transportation. Upon graduating from Western Michigan University in 1980, Jeff moved to Seattle where he worked as a freight forwarder specializing in import/export, air/ocean freight, distribution, project cargo and customs brokerage for over 22 years – raising to the rank of Vice President of Sales for 2 of the 5 largest multinationals. Jeff manages the marketing and commercial activities of Foss’s Tanker Escort and Ship Assist services in the ports of the Puget Sound, Columbia River, San Francisco Bay, El Segundo, Los Angeles/Long Beach, Honolulu and Cook Inlet, Alaska.
