U.S. – GREECE COLLABORATION IN THE SHIPPING INDUSTRY
Shipping is a historically significant element of the Greek economy and identity.
U.S.-Greek relations are the strongest they have been in decades, and new opportunities for collaboration have emerged in the shipping industry. The digital transformation of the shipping sector is another area of future maritime cooperation between the two countries. This discussion was part of a series of online events in the context of the ELIAMEP Foundation Research Programme entitled “Greek-American Economic Relations and the Future of the Greek Economy,” and was organized with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Athens in collaboration with International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus, on February 22nd 2022.
