Luncheon with the former Minister of Civil Protection and Regional Governor of Athens, Greece
On the 26th of September, 2023, Piraeus Marine Club hosted a significant Working Lunch featuring Mr. Nikos Hardalias, former Minister of Civil Protection and Regional Governor of Athens, Greece as the guest speaker. Mayor of Piraeus Yiannis Moralis extended a warm welcome, and George Alexandratos, the club’s president, expressed gratitude to the maritime community.
Honorary speakers emphasized Greece’s historical shipping dominance with regards to the World Shipping Day. Mr. Hardalias underscored shipping’s pivotal role in prosperity, cultural exchange and economy. He outlined infrastructure enhancements, including port upgrades and a new cruise pier. Navigator Shipping Consultants and KEFI S.A. sponsored the event, contributing to its success.
