MEMBERS’ DAY EVENT | INTERNATIONAL PROPELLER CLUB PORT OF PIRAEUS
In a beautiful and warm atmosphere, the Members’ Day event of the International Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus took place on Wednesday, April 19, in Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, with the presence of the Ambassador of the United States to Greece and honorary Club President, George Tsunis, along with 300 distinguished guests.
A separate welcome ceremony was held prior to the event for the 150 new members, where they were awarded their Propeller Club certificate and pin.
The evening opened with a warm welcome from the General Secretary, Danae Bezantakou, followed by greetings from the President Costis Frangoulis and the US Ambassador to Greece, George Tsunis.The keynote speaker, Polys Hajioannou, CEO of Safe Bulkers, was introduced by the 1st Vice President of the Club, Christos Timagenis. Mr. Hajioannou spoke about the “Resilience of public shipping companies in the ever-changing and demanding global environment”.
A short fire chat followed between the President and the CEO of Safe Bulkers.
The event ended with a cocktail.
