Sotiris Theofanis is the Coordinator and Authorized Representative of the DIEP GmbH– Terminal Link SAS– BELTERRA Investments Ltd Consortium, designated as the “Preferred Investor” for the Transaction of the divestiture of the 67% stake of ThPA SA.

An internationally acknowledged Ports; Freight and Maritime Transportation; and Logistics Expert and Manager. Former Expert; Head of Planning Unit; and acting Director for Ports with the Hellenic Ministry of Merchant Marine; Ex- CEO of Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (ThPA SA), Greece (1999-2002); and Ex-President and CEO of Piraeus Port Authority SA (PPA SA) (2002 – 2004), he led the efforts of restructuring and stock listing to the Athens Stock Exchange of both ports.

Fellow and ex-Director of the Maritime Engineering and Management Program (MIEMP); and the Freight and Maritime Program (FMP) in the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT), at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA. Senior Fellow at the Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI), Israel.

He has a very strong and diversified portfolio of freight transportation and port restructuring and privatization projects worldwide.
