22nd NAVIGATOR 2023 – The Shipping Decision Makers Forum
The 22nd Navigator 2023 – The Shipping Decision Makers Forum was successfully concluded on the 9th of November 2023, at Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in Athens, Greece, under the theme “Navigate the Change”, with a total participation of 500 attendees from all the spectrum of the Shipping Industry. The forum commenced with welcoming remarks by Captain Dimitris Bezantakos, President of NAVIGATOR SHIPPING CONSULTANTS, and Danae Bezantakou, setting the tone for a day of insightful discussions. Opening addresses were also delivered by the Director for Shipping at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Captain Andreas Spanos and H.E. George J. Tsunis, United States Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, emphasizing the enduring partnership between the U.S. and Greece.
A highlight of the event was the participation of international organizations, including the International Maritime Organization (IMO), World Economic Forum (WEF), European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), French-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIFG), and others, for actively participating in discussions with an objective to recognize that the future will be marked by experimentation and dilemmas as they navigate the evolving landscape of the shipping industry.
It was also an absolute honor to have Captain Panagiotis Tsakos, Founder of Tsakos Group, grace us with his address at our 22nd Navigator 2023 – The Shipping Decision Makers Forum.
Captain Tsakos eloquently highlighted a crucial aspect of the maritime industry – the invaluable role of women.
