PARTNERS IN DEMOCRACY SYMPOSIUM U.S EMBASSY TO THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC & DELPHI ECONOMIC FORUM
Danae Bezantakou attended the Partners in Democracy Symposium, that was organized by the U.S. Embassy to the Hellenic Republic and the Delphi Economic Forum, on May 25th, 2023 at the National Gallery in Athens. Notably, the event featured the active participation of young volunteers from the YES Forum, who were also invited by the Embassy. The inclusion of the YES Forum volunteers underscored the importance of empowering young voices and involving them in critical conversations concerning the future of democracy.
The Symposium is part of U.S. Embassy’s Partners in Democracy initiative and addressed current challenges democracies face, such as the rise of authoritarianism, societal inequalities, and disinformation, and explored how we can preserve and redesign democracies for future generations. The event will also explore what art can do for democracy, how cities can act as platforms of inclusion, and how we can preserve and redesign democracies for future generations.
