The Association of Banking and Financial Executives of Hellenic Shipping – First Members Conference
The Association of Banking and Financial Executives of Hellenic Shipping successfully hosted its first Members Conference at Piraeus Marine Club on 23rd of June, 2023. The conference featured presentations and discussions on key topics in global shipping finance, including sustainable development and the replacement of the LIBOR interest rate index. The event concluded with the recognition of Petrofin Research and the awarding of Mr. Ted Petropoulos Head of Research at Petrofin Research, for their significant contributions to shipping finance research. The conference brought together esteemed guests, ambassadors, and representatives from the shipping industry, including A.E. Ms. Elisabeth Cardoso, Ambassador of Luxembourg, and SA Mrs. Julie Lymberopoulos, Ambassador and General Consul of the Embassy of Panama in Greece, along with representatives from both embassies, members of the Union, and esteemed representatives from the Greek shipping industry, fostering valuable networking and knowledge sharing opportunities.
