WORLD MARITIME DAY 2017 – SEPTEMBER 2017
On the occasion of the World Maritime Day 2017, on 27th September 2017 in Thessaloniki, the Office of the European Parliament in Greece and the TEL-HELEXPO co-organized a conference titled “Ships, Ports, People, Thessaloniki’s Gate”. The event was coordinated with the initiative of the “Blueprints” team with young scientists and professionals from Thessaloniki for marine development and harboring issues, the MADE strategic communication platform and the urban nonprofit company YET-Young Entrepreneurs of Thessaloniki.
The conference, where Danae Bezantakou participated as a speaker, took place under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Region of Central Macedonia and was supported by the International Maritime Organization-IMO.
The program of the event included a presentation of best practices in European countries, interventions of city institutions, neighboring municipalities and embassies, and informative talks on developments in the EU on new technologies and laws.
